2027 American Balint Society National Meeting – St. Louis, Missouri

The American Balint Society welcomes our international colleagues to join us for the 2027 ABS National Meeting, April 14-16, 2027, in St. Louis, Missouri. The theme of the conference is Restoring the Core of Clinical Practice and will be held at the Charles F. Knight Conference Center on the beautiful campus of Washington University. The campus is adjacent to Forest Park spread over 190 acres, with over 30 miles of walking paths. Take in the sights of the city by visiting the Gateway Arch, the Fox Theatre, and a wide array of museums, music venues, craft breweries, and fine dining.

This conference is appropriate for clinicians at all levels of experience with the Balint Group method. It provides the greatest concentration of research and scholarly activity involving Balint Groups. The conference is well-suited to those who are currently leading, expect to lead in the future, or are seeking a better understanding of Balint Groups.

The program is appropriate for physicians and other clinicians such as physician associates and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, other mental health care providers, veterinarians, educators and pastoral care providers.

Through papers, workshops and ongoing Balint groups we will learn from and with each other, strengthen our bonds, and restore our core.  When you register, let us know whether you would like to be part of a regular Balint group or if you would like the opportunity to participate in an Intensive style group to develop your leadership skills. There is also an option to participate virtually for those of you who are not able to us.

The early registration deadline is December 15, 2026, and registration closes February 25, 2027.  We will stay together at the conference center with the best possible rates. The deadline for reservation of rooms is February 27th, 2027.
