STAYING TOGETHER

Join an international online Balint group

To Secretaries of National Societies: please distribute this to all your members

Dear All,

There are still places available for the IBF online Balint groups advertised earlier but many of the groups are filling fast and some groups are already about to start.

The Covid pandemic has brought numerous challenges to us all - at home, in the office and in our Balint work.
We have seen our face to face international meetings brought to a halt, forcing us to adapt to new challenges and moving online for the second year in a row. This is why we find 'staying connected’ crucial and feel participating in a regular Balint group would be of great value to all of us.
Following the very successful leaders’ conference last autumn we would like to invite you to participate in a four session regular online Balint group to be held over the coming months.
Participation is open to any health care professional worldwide familiar with Balint work and all are expected to be able to present a clinical case. We have recruited experienced leaders to lead the various groups. As we anticipate participation over many time zones from the western USA to Australasia we have set up groups to accommodate all.

We invite you to choose a time slot that will allow you to participate in all four sessions. Places (10-12 per group) will be given on a first come, first served basis. If the group is full when you choose, you’ll get a message from Tove Mathiesen and have the opportunity of another group; but not necessarily the same time slots.
All groups will be held in English via Zoom.

Once you are accepted for a group by a letter of welcome from your group leaders, you will be requested to make a payment of 15 Euro by Paypal on the IBF website. Note that the final approval might come very close to the beginning of the group.
Please follow the link above to register and choose your time slot. If you have any questions please contact Tove Mathiesen - tove.mathiesen@dadlnet.dk

Later the IBF will announce details of a separate online meeting to be held on 3rd-4th of September - it is not obligatory to join that meeting, nor is it necessary to have been in a group to do so.
We hope that come next year we shall once again be able to meet face to face first in Aachen in May and then in Brussels in September for our large congress.

The list of groups is below. Some groups have already started but it is possible to join a group until the second meeting. The original email about this project is below the list of groups, in case you missed it.
