SUMMARY:American Balint Society New England Leadership Intensive
DESCRIPTION:American Balint Society – New England Leadership Intensive\nThe American Balint Society (ABS) will hold its 2018 fall Leadership Intensive Training course in Wellesley\, Massachusetts\, October 11-14. The conference center\, located on the campus of Babson College\, is 10 miles from the center of Boston and the international airport. \nThe four-day Intensive course is designed to teach Balint Group leadership technique primarily through experiential groups\, supplemented by topic-focused small discussion groups and faculty panel discussions.  Attendees will have ample time to present cases\, practice leading a Balint Group\, and engage informally with other participants. Faculty-guided de-brief sessions provide participants opportunities to receive feedback on their practice sessions in a safe and supportive setting. Participants emerge from the course with a deeper understanding of Balint Group leadership techniques and responsibilities. \nAutumn is a wonderful time to visit New England. Boston is an eminently walkable city\, whether you follow one of the historic paths or wander “freestyle” through its distinctive neighborhoods: Back Bay\, Beacon Hill\, The North End\, Chinatown\, and Boston Harbor. Museum-goers will have to choose between the Museum of Fine Arts\, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum\, and the many Harvard museums across the Charles River in Cambridge. Fun shopping and distinctive restaurants for all budgets share space on Newbury Street\, Prudential Center\, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace. \nFull details are available at the ABS website: http://www.americanbalintsociety.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=445043&module_id=281116
